Legacía 2024 gave us the opportunity to hear from a few workshop speakers. See below for the recordings.

This workshop aims to prepare us to overcome traumas and negative core beliefs that prevent us from hearing God's voice and understanding His will, particularly after college. The first part of the workshop will delve into the Scriptural principles that outline these concepts, while the second part will focus on practicing how to listen to God's voice.

The grace of God has always been central to Christianity and beautifully grounds us in our identity as God's people. Unfortunately, what is too often passed down are messages of Christianity that deemphasize or even suppress the idea of grace. Are you, or someone you know, in need of God's grace? Are you unsure of what grace even means? Let's talk. God's truth about grace is incredibly amazing.

Do you want to study the Bible but feel overwhelmed or intimidated by it? This workshop will help us gain some practical tools that will boost our confidence as we approach Scripture, grow our love for God's Word, and set the stage for real life transformation.

One of the unique blessings we have at Legacía is to participate in bilingual worship singing. We sing songs to God together in both English y Español. This January we were led in worship by our very own 2023 Destino Student Band and they shared they list of songs with us to share with you. Enjoy!

Joanne Solis-Walker

Rev. Dr. Joanne Solis-Walker is Associate Dean and Professor in the Practice of Leadership at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. She has served in Christian higher education to innovate theological programs to serve diverse communities in Spanish and English.

Kenny Ramirez Dyches

Kenneth Ramirez Dyches was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he also went to college and met his wife, Lauren. They moved to Orlando, Florida in 2016 to attend seminary and re-launch Destino Central Florida, where he now serves as a Team Leader over the growing movement. They have two young kids, Luca and Hollyn. Together, they are seeking the unity and transformation of God's people on college campuses, in churches, and throughout communities in the greater Orlando area.

Vivir Rico: Frameworks for Christian Ethics

Poverty, climate change, migration, and white supremacy are just some of the topics that make the headlines every week. How are we to respond as people of faith? How does our Christian faith inform our actions in the public sphere? Come explore different frameworks for Christian ethics that honor Jesus and his teachings and provide guidance on how to act in a complex world.

Single Living

God uses you in every stage of your life. Come hear the challenges and unique opportunities God has for you as you live out of your singleness. Hosted by: Jhila Tercheria, Lila Hermosillo, Richard Rivas, Gustavo Rotondaro.

“Don’t @ Me”

This workshop explores our current culture and the impact it has on our faith. We will dive into the ways in which we as believers should behave online. Should we post that picture? Tweet rant about a certain issue? Follow certain channels or influencers? By the end of our time together, we will walk away encouraged by the self-awareness of what we post, comment, follow, and look at while on our social media platforms. We pray that we will also grow, not only in how we behave in person, but how we behave online, without making a distinction of the two.

Ikigai with God; Developing a Personal Vision for Vocation and Calling in Your Life

This workshop will give you confidence as you look toward your future. We will seek to help you apply biblical principles to your lifelong journey of discovering your vocation, and spend some time in reflection with the Lord using a Japanese tool called the Ikigai. We hope this workshop will be hopeful, practical, and a sweet time with others and with Jesus!
